In my last editorial I laid out compelling scientific evidence that the face masks used by the general public do not reduce transmission of this virus and when worn for long periods, can have a number of harmful effects, especially on certain groups of people. Despite this, the governor chose to renew the mask mandate. Apparently, he is depending on the State Health Officer, Dr. Thomas Dobbs, for this medical advice. That is unfortunate, as Dr. Dobbs, in my opinion, has offered advice that defies good science. The masks have had nothing to do with reducing the infection rate and certainly has had no effect on the dramatic fall in the fatality rate. Infection rates have fallen for eight straight weeks and fatalities have fallen for four straight weeks, all over the country and world. The most likely explanation for both is natural herd immunity, high levels of humidity, and high temperatures during the summer months.
Recently, scientists at UCLA Stanford, after analyzing data from 100 of the most populous counties in the United States, found that the mortality rate was 10-fold lower than previously thought. Even more importantly, they also found that among people between age 50 to 64 years old (a so-called high-risk group), there was a 1 in 3,836 chance of contracting the infection, even without wearing a mask or social distancing. These same individuals had a 1 in 852,000 chance of requiring hospitalization, and a 1 in 19.1 million chance of dying if infected. This study clearly indicates that the draconian measures implemented in this state, and most others, were never needed.
Another news release of tremendous importance was a revelation by Dr. Li-Meng Yan, a Chinese virologist, who worked at the Hong Kong Virology laboratory, which was the chief reference lab containing the world’s greatest experts on this virus. What she disclosed was that this virus was specifically designed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to be released upon the rest of the world. She escaped from communist-held Hong Kong, to tell the world that the Chinese Communist Party directed the Wuhan Viral Laboratory, under the control of the Chinese military, to design this virus, so as to specifically infect humans. Transmission of this virus between humans was something never seen with the wild type coronavirus found in bats.
The story of it coming from the wet market was a cover story by the communist party. She further disclosed that the Chinese Communist Party deliberately released the virus on the world and that the WHO, as well as numerous other virologists outside China, were intimidated so as to keep this secret. The media was complicit in this coverup.
What this necessarily means, is that the economic lockdown, and the other draconian measures, aided, and continues to aid, the Chinese Communist Party in their war with the West. It also means that our intelligence community also failed to disclose this assault by Communist China on the West. When this all began, I heard a few well-qualified virologists, who had examined the genetic data on the COVID-19 virus, declare that it was a purposefully modified virus, designed in a laboratory to be highly transmissible.
The national death statistics have been shown to be grossly overstated. The CDC now says that only 9,000 plus people have died from the virus itself. Car accidents, shootings, deaths from other, non-infectious diseases are all being reported as COVID-19 deaths. These incidences have all been confirmed and are not myths, as alleged by Dr. Dobbs. We need to end this destructive policy by the governor that is destroying our economy, killing people from despair, inducing mental stress, precipitating child abuse and worsening drug and alcohol abuse.
