Elizabeth Anne Drumm and Daniel Graham Parry were united in holy matrimony on October 19 at St. James Episcopal Church in Baton Rouge. The Reverend Christopher Duncan officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Eldred Drumm of Baton Rouge. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Joseph Bergeron Jr., and Mrs. Claude Eldred Drumm Jr. and the late Mr. Drumm, all of Baton Rouge.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Conquest Parry III of Madison. He is the grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Graham McKinnon of Hattiesburg, and Mrs. Thomas Conquest Parry Jr. and the late Mr. Parry of Ridgeland.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a sleeveless satin Mikado trumpet gown. She carried a bouquet of coral peonies, white ranunculus, lisianthus, eucalyptus, and Bruno’s pods. She wore her grandmother’s diamond and pearl earrings and a sixpence in her shoe that had been worn by the bridegroom’s mother and grandmother.
Attending the bride as matron of honor was Helen Butts Field. Bridesmaids were Sloane Silvio Drumm, sister-in-law of the bride; Fan Elizabeth Hughes, Allison Treen Morrison, Morgan Moore Bankston, Kristie Reily Yancey, Katherine Boh Eshleman, and Claire Warwick Channell.
The attendants wore gowns of dove grey in varying styles and carried bouquets that matched the bride’s.
Joseph Thomas Parry, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Robert Eldred Drumm Jr., brother of the bride; Max David Marsh, Alexander James Clark, John Rivers Fike, Andrew Hugh Dale, Charles Clayton Matheny III, and Oliver Stanislaus Delery III.
Ushers were Richard Hunter Yancey V and Millard Bland Morrison Jr.
Music was presented by Magnolia Strings.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at the Capitol Park Museum. Music from Evolution Party Band was played for dancing. Food included an oyster bar, shrimp, gumbo, veal meatballs, and a variety of passed hot hors d’oeuvres.
At the end of the evening, the couple was celebrated with confetti as they left in a decorated pedicab.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the bridegroom’s parents the evening before the wedding at the Baton Rouge Country Club. Floral arrangements and background music from a jazz combo helped family and friends celebrate.
After a trip to Greece, the couple is at home in New Orleans.
