Jackson has issued a temporary boil water notice for parts of the Northside.
Due to a recent loss in water pressure, the city has issued the precaution for the 100 to 299 blocks of Colonial Circle, 5600-5699 blocks of Clubview Drive, the 100 to 199 block of Parkway Drive, and the 100 to 299 blocks of South Park Drive, all in the 39211 area code.
Approximately 80 homes are affected by the notice, according to a press release.
All customers are advised to boil their drinking water until adequate pressure is restored to the system. Water should be brought to a rolling boil for one minute for the following: cooking or baking, making ice cubes, taking medication, brushing teeth, washing food, mixing baby formula or food, mixing juices or drinks feeding pets, washing dishes and all other consumption.
