Jackson Area Federal Credit Union launched its 4th annual auto loan refinance promotion for the months of July and August 2019. As in year’s past, the promotion proved to be a success to those members who took advantage of refinancing their vehicle from another lender to Jackson Area Federal Credit Union. In fact, 75 auto loans were refinanced from other lenders to Jackson Area Federal Credit Union.
Many who refinanced their vehicle saw their payments and/or loan term reduced, not to mention saving them a lot of money in interest. Those 75 members collectively saved nearly $400,000 in loan interest. “It’s great knowing that we are helping our members reduce the interest they will pay on their auto loan.” exclaimed Gary Fairley, JAFCU President/CEO. This year’s promotion was different than last year’s. For every loan that was refinanced, JAFCU made a donation of 1% of the loan amount (max $250) to Credit Union for Kids, benefitting Mississippi’s only children’s hospital, Blair E. Batson. This promotion resulted in a total donation of $13,300.
