Good news on the COVID-19 front.
Just 393 cases were reported for Sunday, a significant drop over the past week’s daily counts.
Additionally, one death was reported, in Monroe County, according to the Mississippi Department of Health.
Cases are as of 6 p.m., July 12.
Statewide, 36,564 cases have been reported, including 1,228 deaths.
Meanwhile, Hinds County has passed the 3,000 mark, with 3,041 individuals becoming infected through July 12, including 54 who had succumbed to the virus, health department figures show.
In Madison County, 1,508 people have become sick from coronavirus, while 39 have died.
