Talks slated for next week in Siemens suit

A settlement in the city of Jackson’s suit against Siemens Industry could be imminent.

According to court documents, mediation talks between the two entities are slated for September 24 and 25, 2019, with the parties ordered to notify the court of the results of the talks by October 2.

Other proceedings in the case are stayed until October 9, in light of the mediation.

The case is pending before the Hinds County Circuit Court.

Jackson is suing Siemens and its sub-contractors for $225 million in damages, related to the completion and roll out of a $91 energy performance contract.
