Mr.and Mrs. Michael Allen Turner of Vicksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Clara Grace Turner of Vicksburg to Christian Alexander Shirley of Madison. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Barri Alexander Shirley of Madison.
Miss Turner is the granddaughter of Mrs. Joe Noe Jr. and the late Mr. Noe of Clarksdale, and Mrs. Homer Allen Turner and the late Mr. Turner of Belzoni.
The bride-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Mayfield Steadman of Booneville, and Mrs. Gene Shirley and the late Mr. Shirley of Orlando.
The bride-elect is a graduate of St Aloysius High School. She attended Mississippi State University and received a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies with an emphasis in biology, kinesiology and mathematics. At State, she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority. She also received a bachelor’s in nursing from Belhaven University, graduating cum laude. She is a registered nurse at St. Dominic Hospital.
The prospective bridegroom is a graduate of Madison Central High School. He attended Mississippi State University and received a bachelor’s degree in wildlife, fisheries and aquaculture and a master’s degree in wildlife and fisheries. He is the assistant hatchery manager for the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks.
Vows will be exchanged December 5 at St. Richard Catholic Church. A reception will follow at The Faulkner.
