JoyCARE stands out as an invaluable resource for caregivers and their loved ones by integrating the expertise of occupational and physical therapists into a supportive care model. For clients, this service is designed to maximize functional levels and promote independence, addressing both physical and cognitive challenges with tailored interventions. Through personalized treatment plans, clients can achieve improved mobility, coordination, and overall well-being, allowing them to participate more fully in daily life. The compassionate professionals at JoyCARE understand the intricacies of each individual’s needs, ensuring that care is not just effective, but delivered with empathy and respect.
Equally important, JoyCARE serves as a lifeline for caregivers, offering them much-needed relief from their demanding responsibilities. When caregivers know their loved ones are receiving top-tier, quality care from skilled professionals, it frees up valuable time for them to attend to their own needs, whether that’s managing errands, focusing on work, or simply taking a moment for self-care. This balance is essential in preventing caregiver burnout—a condition that often arises from prolonged stress and exhaustion. JoyCARE empowers caregivers to step away, knowing their loved ones are in capable and compassionate hands, ultimately helping them sustain their own health and well-being.
By addressing both client and caregiver needs, JoyCARE fosters an environment of holistic care and support. This dual focus not only enhances the lives of those receiving individualized care but also strengthens caregivers’ ability to continue providing love and care without compromising their own mental and physical health.

I am a licensed and registered occupational therapist with more than 15 years’ experience treating the geriatric population. Upon graduation from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, I began my career at Methodist Rehabilitation Center where I gained experience treating victims of strokes and brain injuries, orthopedic surgery cases with emphasis on hip and knee replacements, amputees, and clients with generalized weakness. Following my tenure at MRC, I found my true passion caring for the geriatric population in various assisted living facilities. I have served as an occupational therapist and a Director of Rehabilitation Services. I am committed to providing quality, individualized care that enhances the lives of those I serve.
