Born and raised in Jackson, I’ve always had a connection to the land, which explains my gravitation toward a career in geology. This connection, paired with a fascination for the earth’s processes, led me to the University of Mississippi, where I earned a bachelor of science in geology with a minor in mathematics. My time at Ole Miss laid a solid foundation, but it was the hands-on experience across various industries that shaped my career.
After graduating, I entered the oil and gas sector, working in challenging terrains in Texas, Oklahoma, and North Dakota. The oil fields tested not only my technical knowledge but also my resilience. From the heat of Texas to the cold winters of North Dakota, I thrived in the demanding environments, developing skills in precision, safety, and teamwork—traits I carry to this day.
However, my professional journey wasn’t limited to just one field. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in multiple industries, which broadened my skill set. During college, I took on part-time roles in the restaurant industry, which eventually grew into a passion. This fast-paced, customer-focused environment taught me the importance of adaptability and exceptional service—skills that later proved useful in various roles.
A pivotal point in my career was my role as an operations manager for a white-glove moving company. Coordinating high-end moves for discerning clients required immense attention to detail. I learned the value of precision, communication, and client satisfaction, ensuring that each move met the highest expectations.
Today, I bring all these experiences together in my current role at Pinestraw America. Joining the team here feels like a natural progression, allowing me to leverage my diverse background in a company that values hard work and integrity. Pinestraw America is more than a provider of high-quality pine straw. It’s a leader in delivering exceptional service, ensuring sustainability, and setting the standard in the landscaping industry.
At Pinestraw America, we take pride in offering more than just a product. Our services include meticulous pine straw installation, bed edging, weed control, and our signature tucking and rolling method to ensure a polished finish. I’m excited to contribute to the company’s continued growth, using my experience to uphold the high standards we’re known for.
My career path has been anything but linear, but every step has prepared me for this role. I look forward to bringing my unique skill set to Pinestraw America and contributing to its future success.
