TrustCare Health, a leading provider of urgent, primary, and pediatric healthcare services throughout central Mississippi and Alabama, is pleased to announce that family medicine physician, Dr. Kristi K. Trimm, will begin seeing patients on August 1. Her practice will include disease prevention, health maintenance and diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses. Dr. Trimm practiced for 10 years at Merit Health Family Medicine in Madison before becoming TrustCare’s Medical Director earlier this year. As Medical Director, Dr. Trimm oversees clinical operations for all TrustCare clinics in Mississippi and Alabama. This includes coordinating teams of physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, medical assistants, and non-clinical staff to ensure excellent standard of care with exceptional patient experiences.
“TrustCare’s reputation for going above and beyond to provide high quality, compassionate patient care made my decision to switch an easy one,” said Dr. Trimm. “I am honored to be a part of this amazing team of nurses, nurse practitioners and other physicians, and look forward to contributing my talents to help us be the best we can be at caring for patients.”
Dr. Trimm and her husband Neil, and their two children reside at Reunion in Madison.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from the University of Tulsa in 2004 and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 2009. She completed her family medicine training at the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2012 and has served as an associate clinical professor at the University of Mississippi Medical Center Family Medicine since 2015.
“Dr. Trimm is among our region’s most talented and respected family medicine physicians and we are so happy to have her on our team,” said TrustCare President and CEO, Warren Herring. “These days, everyone should have a primary care physician like Dr. Trimm routinely monitoring their physical well-being. If you do not currently have this type of physician relationship, then now is the time to research your options and schedule an appointment.”
Herring said the vision for TrustCare Health’s clinics began in 2012 with the recognition that most Mississippians were not able to receive prompt medical care seven days a week, forcing families to waste time and money in the emergency room for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries.
