Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi will present the 2026 Get Ready to Run One-Mile Kid’s Fun Run on Saturday, March 7, from 8:30 to 11 a.m at Trustmark Park. More than 2,000 children from across Mississippi are expected to gather at the starting line as they prepare to test their endurance and celebrate their fitness accomplishments. Runners range from age five to 12 and represent more than 45 schools from across the state. Individual Runner registration is now open. All Mississippi children grades kindergarten through fifth are eligible to participate in the race. Registration is free, and each runner will receive a commemorative t-shirt, swag bag, and finishers medal.
