Street markings are critical to safe driving, yet the markings on highy-trafficked Old Canton Road are barely visible.

Studies show that rod cells decline significantly with age, especially after about age 40–50. The density of rods in the retina decreases by about 30–40% by age 70.

This should be a top priority for the new City of Jackson public works director.
