At the last possible moment Joe Biden gave a preemptive pardon to his entire family. Perhaps this delay was to prevent Trump from including that information on the pardon in his inaugural speech. But it was more probably to hide it in all the hoopla of that day.
So, what is a preemptive pardon? Its objective is to forgive someone for a sin that has been committed but has not yet been charged. The danger is that the pardoned individual could say: "well I've been pardoned for some future transgression, so let me go steal a car, or rob a bank!" More to the point, why would Biden grant a preemptive pardon to all of his family members, which undoubtedly included himself? Is he saying that there are past sins, still uncharged, that need forgiveness? Yes, that's the implication. I believe that I can throw some light on this.
James Comer currently serves as the chairman of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee. He held that position as the ranking member when the Democrats were in charge. He has written a book titled All the President's Money which has just been made available to the public (1/14/25), and I have started reading it. At the start of his book, he quotes President Truman: "You can't get rich in politics unless you're a crook." In the years 1998 to 2016 there was only one year when Joe and Dr. Jill earned more than $400,000. And yet the Bidens bought two-multi-million-dollar mansions in recent years.
The biased FBI has been quiet in all of this. After all they were unable to solve who left a bag of cocaine at the White House entrance in spite of having a daily log-in sheet. (Know any frequent visitor who had a drug problem?) Further, banks are required to file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) whenever unusually heavy deposits are made. There were at least 150 such reports filed against Hunter's businesses. The FBI didn't investigate.
When James Comer was ranking member his requests for subpoena of bank records for Hunter and other family members was denied. But when he took charge as the Republicans were victorious, his subpoena requests were granted, and he gained access to those records. In an appendix of his book Comer prints many of those SARs. I will have to read further, but it appears that Hunter was trying to money-launder his SARs into many different accounts to the advantage of his family members. No wonder that past President Joe wanted to preemptively pardon his entire family.
The Biden--Harris team made it as difficult as possible for Trump to be successful right out of the gate. They allowed a last-minute surge of illegal immigrants to enter the country. They spent as much money as they can get by with. And most egregiously they auctioned off huge quantities of unused sections of the border wall that has been stacked up in Arizona since Biden took office. They accepted bids as low as $5 per section.
