Death of young police recruit

The city of Jackson would like to extend its condolences to the family members of the young police recruit who passed away today.
Not only was he training to be a police officer with the Jackson Police Department, but he was also a former firefighter with the Jackson Fire Department.

Uptown Drawdown: Mississippi Kidney Foundation benefit

The Mississippi Kidney Foundation’s annual Uptown Drawdown was held recently at the Country Club of Jackson.
The evening included food, drinks and music by the Blues Boys, a silent action, plus the $10,000 drawdown. The event benefited the kidney foundation.
