Speech and debate

St. Andrew’s Episcopal School students recently competed in the Magnolia Forensic League’s (MFL) District Qualifiers for the National Speech and Debate Association (NSDA) National Tournament with the speech qualifier at Oak Grove High School. Of the 20 total entries  by St. Andrew’s for speech weekend, 11 placed in the top six. In addition to the student awards, St. Andrew’s faculty member Jharick Shields was named Assistant Coach of the Year for the MFL and will be nominated for this award for the NSDA as a whole.
