Blissett and Prys exchange wedding vows June 1 in Colorado ceremony

Laurel Ann Blissett and Andrew Neal Prys were wed June 1 at Boettcher Mansion on Lookout Mountain in Golden, Colo. The Rev. Erik Hanson officiated the ceremony. Nuptial music was provided by Emily Green, guitarist; and Leah Sedlacek, violinist, both of Denver.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Blissett of Madison. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Prys of Salt Lake City.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a designer gown and carried a bouquet of ranunculus and mini callas wrapped in lace from her mother’s veil. Her jewelry included her mother’s pearl bracelet.

Matron of honor was Kellye Branch Donnell of Madison. Best man was brother-in-law of the bridegroom, Chris Yung of Louisville, Colo.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Boettcher Mansion. Music was provided by HenScratch, a bluegrass band. Guests were served a menu of heavy hors d’oeuvres followed by three-tiered wedding cake.

On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner hosted by the bridegroom’s parents was held at the Arvada Tavern. On the morning of the wedding, a ladies’ brunch hosted by the bride’s aunt, Linda Donnell of Hattiesburg, was held at the Bridgewater Grill in Golden, Colo. for out-of-town guests.


Following a wedding trip through the Alps in Switzerland, France and Italy, the couple lives in Arvada, Colo.
