Haley Joy Britt and Benjamin Patterson Boykin were united in marriage February 3 at Pear Orchard Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Carl Kalberkamp officiated, along with Jeremy Britt, brother of the bride.
The bride is the daughter of Pam and Denny Britt of Ridgeland. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Bryant of Hattiesburg and Mrs. Denver Britt of Brookhaven. The bridegroom is the son of Kris and Don Boykin of Ridgeland, and the late Julie Boykin. He is the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. Gunnar Anderson of Enid, Okla., and Gladis Deloach Boykin II of Hollandale.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore an ivory ball gown with a gold underlay and chapel length train featuring crystal beading on the halter fitted bodice. She wore a cathedral length veil which complemented the back of her beaded dress. She wore her grandmother’s aquamarine stone ring as her “something blue.” She carried a bouquet of ivory and dusty rose garden roses, ivory and lime hydrangeas and blush peonies adorned with dusty miller.
Maid of honor was Shelby Barham of Madison. Bridesmaids were Sloan Bancroft of Birmingham; Lauren Busby of Raymond; Mackenzie Carmody and Candace Franklin of Jackson; Lindsey Clark of Memphis; Anna Gilg of Nashville; Shelby Huff of Madison; Kelly Jarvis and Madeline Lohman, both of Ridgeland. They wore flowing gowns of a dusty miller hue with long sashes tied at the back. Morgan and Carter Brand of Biloxi, and Brittney Brown of Hattiesburg, cousins of the bride, were honorary bridesmaids and program attendants. Their gowns were of dusty rose. Their hand tied bouquets featured ivory and lime hydrangeas, dusty rose and ivory garden roses, peonies, and dusty miller tied with ivory silk.
Dee Boykin of Yazoo City and Gunnar Boykin of Conway, Ark., brothers of the bridegroom, were best men. Groomsmen were Brantley Adams of Madison; Riley Alef of Memphis; David Gibson of Kossuth; Murphy Guillotte, Nick Johnson, Mark Varnado and Hunter Lohman of Ridgeland; Hunt Halford of Oxford, and Sam Richard of McComb.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at the Country Club of Jackson. Ruff Water of Mobile presented the music. The couple left the reception in the bride’s father’s family restored truck Ole Whitey for a wedding trip on the Gulf Coast.
On the eve of the wedding, the bridegroom’s parents hosted a dinner at the Country Club of Jackson. The couple is at home in Madison, where the bridegroom works for Horne LLP and the bride for Carr, Riggs and Ingram.
