Miss Corbitt and Quinn to exchange wedding vows May 26 at Bridlewood

Mr. and Mrs. Steven Arthur Corbitt of Ridgeland announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Gwenette Corbitt, to Lucas Nicholson Quinn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Granville Land Quinn of Union.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Jack Westbrook “Bouncer” Robertson and the late Gwenette Phillips Robertson, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cooper Corbitt, all of Jackson.

Miss Corbitt is a 2007 graduate of Jackson Preparatory School and a 2011 graduate of Mississippi College where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She completed her nursing degree from Hinds Community College in 2014. She is a dialysis nurse for Fresenius Kidney Care.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Walker Nicholson of Union, and the late John Earl Quinn and Dorothy Burkes Quinn of Philadelphia.

Quinn is a 2002 graduate of Union High School and a 2007 graduate of East Central Community College. While serving in the Army National Guard for 12 years, he served two tours of duty in Iraq. He is associated with Advantage Solutions.

The couple will exchange vows May 26 at Bridlewood of Madison.



Robert H. Watson will receive Mississippi College’s Award of Excellence at the university’s 2018 homecoming.

Activities include an October 26 awards banquet at Anderson Hall.
