Miss Lovelace and Morrison to exchange wedding vows May 18 at Rosemary Beach

Mr. and Mrs. Dewitt Marshall Lovelace Jr. of Oxford announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathleen Lamb Lovelace, to Samuel Mims Morrison, son of Dr. and Mrs. Michael Burch Morrison of Oxford.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Davis of Independence, Mr. and Mrs. James Ferguson of Senatobia, Sara Lovelace of Oxford, and Mr. and Mrs. Dewitt Lovelace of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.

Miss Lovelace is a 2012 honors graduate of Oxford High School and a 2016 cum laude graduate at the University of Mississippi with a major in pharmaceutical sciences. At Ole Miss, she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. Miss Lovelace attends the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. She will graduate this May with a doctor of pharmacy degree.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mims of Jackson, and Dr. Winsor Morrison and the late Byrdella Morrison of Hollister, Mo.

Morrison is a 2011 graduate of Oxford High School and 2015 graduate at the University of Mississippi with a major in biology and minor in chemistry. At Ole Miss, he was a member of Kappa Alpha Order.  He completed a master’s of biomedical science at Mississippi College in 2017 and now attends Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston.


The couple will exchange vows May 18 at 5 p.m. at Rosemary Beach, Fla., with a reception to follow.
