Miss Siegel and McRae to exchange vows September 8 at The Cloister in Sewanee

Mr. and Mrs. Michael Scott Siegel of Evanston, Ill. announce the engagement of their daughter, Allison Lynn Siegel, to Cameron Stone McRae, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vaughan Watkins McRae of Jackson.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Joseph Siegel of Charleviox, Mich., and Mrs. Robert Lynn King and the late Dr. King of Hilton Head, S.C.

A native of Wilmette, Ill., Miss Siegel is a graduate of New Trier Township High School. She was graduated cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis, with a bachelor’s degree in communication design. At Washington University, she was the recipient of the Paul Edward Birdsall Award, a varsity swimmer and a member of Alpha Rho Chi, a professional fraternity for architecture and the allied arts. She is a designer at Greater Good Studio of Chicago, a design consultancy working with mission driven organizations.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Duncan McRae of Jackson, and Mrs. Douglas Clyde Stone and the late Mr. Stone of Columbus. An Alpha Omega graduate of St. Andrew’s Episcopal School, he was graduated from Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in architecture. At Washington University, he was a member of Theta Xi fraternity, serving in various executive offices and as house manager. He was president of Alpha Rho Chi professional fraternity, in addition to playing club rugby. McRae was associated with the architecture firm of Hastings Chivetta in St. Louis, before attending Clemson University where he is a candidate for a master’s in architecture.


The couple will exchange vows at The Cloister in Sewanee, Tenn. September 8.



We are fortunate to attend a small church with a tight-knit congregation. Our children’s committee hosts a baby shower for each expectant family in our church and invites the entire congregation.
