Gold Gala: Special Olympics benefit December 7

Special Olympics Mississippi’s annual Gold Gala will be December 7 at 7 p.m. at Duling Hall in Fondren. The gala celebrates the accomplishments on and off the playing field of more than 6,000 athletes across the state who compete with Special Olympics. The night will include food, drinks and a live auction.

Canopy Golf Classic

Ready to Walk: Heart Walk scheduled November 11

The annual Metro Jackson Heart Walk is scheduled for this weekend, Saturday, November 11 at the Mississippi Museum of Art. Activities begin at 8 a.m. with the walk starting at 9:15. The route is through the downtown area. No registration fee is required but donations are accepted.
