Stock market today: Asian markets track Wall Street decline

Asian shares declined Wednesday, tracking losses on Wall Street as shares of beleaguered banks tumbled again and worries about the U.S. economy deepened.

U.S. futures edged higher while oil prices were little changed.

Stock market today: Asian shares follow Wall Street lower

Shares were weaker in Asia on Friday, tracking a decline on Wall Street following mixed earnings reports from big companies and more signals the U.S. economy may be slowing.

Tokyo's Nikkei 225 index edged 0.1% to 28,638.24. The Kospi in Seoul dropped 0.8% to 2,542.72. Hong Kong's Hang Seng gave up 0.6% to 20,274.42.

Asian shares mostly higher after mixed day on Wall Street

Stocks were mostly higher in Asia on Tuesday after a mixed session on Wall Street dominated by speculation the Federal Reserve may tap the brakes again on financial markets and the economy by raising interest rates.

Shares rose in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Seoul and Shanghai. U.S. futures edged higher and oil prices also gained.
