The Board of Education of Madison County wishes to announce that Mr. Ted Poore will retire as Superintendent of Madison County Schools on June 30, 2026.
“I want to express my heartfelt thanks for the support, encouragement, and prayers especially, over these past two years as your Superintendent,” said Poore. “I have been blessed beyond measure to have served alongside and learned from many outstanding educators. Lifelong friendships and relationships are the very best part of a career in education, and I will cherish them for the rest of my life.”
“We hate to see Ted Poore leave this school district,” said Board of Education President Mr. Sam Kelly. “For twenty-eight wonderful years, he has committed his life to this school district. We look forward to see what he will do in the next five months.”
For more than 42 years, Mr. Poore has dedicated his distinguished career in education to serving the students of Mississippi.
