Mary Helen (Pope) Perry died on October 8, 2024 in Ridgeland. Mary Helen was born February 13, 1929 in Little Rock to Charles Alfred Pope and Mae Leva (Swob) Pope. She attended Little Rock Junior College, presently known as The University of Arkansas Little Rock, and graduated in 1948.
On June 12, 1948, she married Wylie Kapp Perry Sr. She is preceded in death by Wylie Kapp Perry Sr. and is survived by son, Wylie Kapp Perry Jr. (Sue) of Jackson; daughter, Deborah Ann Perry of Madison; two nephews, George L. Mallory III (Ann) and John A. Mallory (Brenda) both of Little Rock; and step grandson, Miller A. Fawlk (Lauren) of Brandon.
Mary Helen worked 27 ½ years and retired from the State Department of Health in Jackson as a nosologist.
A visitation was held at Parkway Funeral Home, Ridgeland, on Sunday, October 13, 2024.
Burial will take place on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 11:00 am at Pinecrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Alexander, Arkansas.
