Mr. and Mrs. James Sidney Armstrong of Jackson announce the engagement of their daughter, Jane Hastings Armstrong, to Jonathan David Dixon, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Lynn Dixon of Petal.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Sykes of Corinth, and the late Mr. and Mrs. John T. Armstrong of Hazlehurst. The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Russell J. Reinig of Lincoln, Neb., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Leslie Dixon of Benton, Ark.
Miss Armstrong is a 2012 graduate of Belhaven University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in Biblical studies. She was a member of the Belhaven symphony orchestra and the university concert choir.
Dixon is a 2010 graduate of Belhaven University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in theatre ministries. He was a member of the creative writing club and also directed plays for the theater department.
Currently, he is associated with Goodwin Imaging, a school portrait and sports photography company based in Petal.
The couple will exchange vows September 7 at the Vineyard Church in Flowood.
