Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Cecil Martin of Jackson announce the engagement of their daughter, Sally Crosby Martin, of Nashville, to John David Parkerson of Nashville. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Neilson Martin of Starkville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Sanford Hopkins Levings of Jackson.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bailey Parkerson III of Birmingham. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bailey Parkerson Jr. of Nashville and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Wesley Shores Jr. of Birmingham.
Miss Martin is a 2011 graduate of Jackson Preparatory School, and a 2015 graduate of the University of Mississippi where she received her degree in multi-disciplinary studies. At Ole Miss she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She was presented in 2012 by the Debutante Club of Mississippi. She is currently an operations manager at HE Parmer Company in Nashville.
Mr. Parkerson is a 2011 graduate of Briarwood Christian School in Birmingham. He graduated from Auburn University in 2015 earning a degree in business management. While at Auburn University, he was a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity. Currently, he is the eCommerce sales manager with Electronics Express in Nashville.
The couple will exchange vows on October 19, at St. James Episcopal Church with a reception following at the Country Club of Jackson.
