Rachael Jordan Burrow and Robert Dean Rummel III were united in marriage on the evening of May 11 at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Jackson.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Alexander Burrow of Jackson. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Dye Burrow Jr., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Golden Sones, all of Jackson.

The ceremony was officiated by Dr. John Galen Kearns of Northport. The bride was escorted by her father down the aisle and wore an ivory satin, fit and flare designer gown. With a classic square neckline, the bodice featured a deep V back with satin-covered buttons that cascaded to the end of her chapel-length train. A matching cathedral-length, detachable overskirt was added for the ceremony. Her custom-designed, royal cathedral veil was accented with French Alencon lace appliqués around the bottom edge, framing her gown for a traditional look. Her garden bouquet was designed using white parrot tulips, which were wrapped in antique handkerchiefs also carried by her sister and mother at their weddings.
Following the ceremony, the couple left the church in a 1933 antique Buick driven by Lonnie Cox.
The bride’s sister, Sarah Burrow Dinkins, was matron of honor. Scripture readers were Holly Davis Dotherow and Caroline King Forks. Program attendants were Neely Rebecca Boyd, Abigail Rebecca Doe, Elise Claire Williams, and Patricia Alexander Williams.
The bridegroom’s father was best man. The groomsmen were John Edmund Anderson, the bridegroom’s cousin; Matthew Alexander Burrow, brother of the bride; and Jonathan Mills Rummel, brother of the bridegroom. Ushers were Billy Clayton Brown; Rimes Hamilton Dinkins, brother-in-law of the bride; and William Grant Morgan.
Nuptial music was presented by Nancy Bateman, cellist; Shellie Kemp and Bonnie Brown, violinists.
The day before the wedding, a bridal luncheon was hosted in the home of Mrs. Christian Waddell. On the eve of the wedding, the bridegroom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Capital Club at the Capital Towers. Afterwards, a post toast was celebrated at Hal & Mal’s.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception with dinner at the Mississippi Museum of Art. Guests danced to music provided by 601 Live. The wedding cake was strawberry with butter cream icing, and the bridegroom’s dessert was banana pudding.
