Mr. and Mrs. David Calvert Dunbar of Ridgeland announce the engagement of their daughter, Charlotte Antoinette Dunbar, to Ross Bradford Edwards of Jackson.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Roderick Boardman Adams of Columbus, the late Ann Hand Dunbar of Jackson, and the late John Francis Dunbar of Oxford.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Darren Edwards of Jackson. He is the grandson of Edna Manning Gibson and the late James Fontaine Gibson of Golden, Texas and Patricia Neal Giffin of Missouri City, Texas and the late Donald Max Edwards of Sugar Land, Texas.
Miss Dunbar is a 2016 graduate of Saint Andrew’s Episcopal School. In 2020 she was graduated magna cum laude from Millsaps College with a bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in chemistry. While at Millsaps, she was an active member of Chi Omega fraternity and served on the executive board. Miss Dunbar was presented by the Debutante Club of Mississippi in 2017. In 2022, she earned a Bachelor of Nursing degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis where she is currently a student in the Doctorate of Nursing Practice dual pediatric program. Miss Dunbar is a registered nurse at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock.
Edwards is a 2016 graduate of Jackson Preparatory School. He was graduated from Harding University in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering. While attending Harding, he was an active member of the Sub-T men’s social club and served as pledge trainer. Edwards earned his commercial pilot license at Epic Flight Academy in New Smyrna Beach, Fla. and currently works for Tidwell Flying Service in Lonoke, Ark.
The couple will exchange vows on November 2 at Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Cathedral in Jackson.
