TrustCare Health, a leading provider of urgent and primary healthcare services throughout central Mississippi and Birmingham, Alabama, is pleased to announce that Dr. Kristi K. Trimm, a board-certified family medicine physician whose practice areas include primary and urgent care, has joined the company to serve as medical director.
Trimm’s responsibilities will include oversight of clinical operations for all TrustCare clinics in Mississippi and Alabama. This includes coordinating teams of physicians,
physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, medical assistants and non-clinical staff to ensure excellent standard of care with exceptional patient experiences.
Trimm will also begin seeing patients as a primary and urgent care physician for TrustCare beginning Aug 1. Her practice will include disease prevention, health maintenance and diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses. To schedule an appointment, visittrustcarehealth.com.
Trimm earned her Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from The University of Tulsa in 2004 and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from The Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 2009. She completed her family medicine training at The University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2012. Before TrustCare, Trimm practiced for 10 years at Merit Health Family Medicine in Madison.
“We are delighted to have one of the areas most talented and respected family medicine physicians directing patient care across our 13 facilities in Mississippi and Alabama,” said TrustCare President and CEO Warren Herring. “Her healthcare expertise and proven leadership skills will further our mission to provide patients the 5-star care they deserve and need to feel better faster.”
Herring said the vision for TrustCare Health’s clinics began in 2012 with the recognition that most Mississippians were not able to receive prompt medical care seven days a week, forcing families to waste time and money in the emergency room for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries.
“TrustCare has an exceptional reputation for going above and beyond to provide high quality, compassionate patient care,” Trimm said. “I am honored to be a part of this amazing team of nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, and look forward to contributing my talents to help us be the best we can be at caring for patients.”
