Dirt work began recently on the second commercial building at the Village at Madison.
The latest building in the development, Building D, is a 12,000 square foot multi-tenant building and will feature retail, restaurant and office space and was approved by the City of Madison last year. The building is expected to be complete in the first quarter of 2024. The Village at Madison is a project of Main Street Investors which is composed of partners Dr. Michael Manning of Ridgeland, Lee Stafford of West Point, and Mark Castleberry of Starkville.
“We have some great retailers committed to this building and working with additional ones to fill remaining space,” Castleberry said. “We are excited to bring another successful property to the Village at Madison.”
BB Mitchell of Pinpoint Commercial Real Estate said breaking ground on Building D shows their commitment to bring The Village to fruition.
“We’re beyond thrilled to break ground on our second building within The Village at Madison,” Mitchell said. “Following Building D, we will be moving forward on Building E, which will be comprised of multi-tenant retail – similar to D. We’re also working with two fabulous prospects for Building B and are actively constructing the parking lot that will service that 12,500 square foot asset.”
Currently, they have commitments from a high end women’s fashion user, a coffee and breakfast operation, and another children-related operation.
“I’m thrilled about delivering our second building and seeing which tenants fill out the remaining vacancy within the building,” Mitchell said. “We’re being highly selective on who we do business with with, the goal of selecting the right users who will thrive in the development long term.”
The development will ultimately consist of 60,000 square feet of restaurant, retail and professional office space with 75 zero lot line residences also located on site.
