Graham attended Lanier High School in Jackson. He took courses at Hinds Community College, Mississippi College, Tulane University, and graduated from Jackson State University with a degree in criminal justice and a minor in correctional services.
Graham also worked 30 years for the Jackson Police Department as 911 Dispatch Center Commander, Reserve Commander and Lieutenant. He has served as a Police Academy Instructor, Police Information Officer, and Crime Stopper Coordinator.
Graham has been married to Shirley Lee Graham for thirty years. Mrs. Graham is a retired Special Needs teacher for 32 years and they have four adult children.
Graham is proud of his many accomplishments, such as, paving over one hundred streets and repairing thousands of potholes. His support for law enforcement in Hinds County is unquestioned and his commitment to District One is his passion. His ability to get things done is his trademark. Graham frequently gives out his cell phone number to anyone who wants it. His belief is that everyone in District One should be able to pickup the phone and contact their supervisor.
Graham says he is proud of his work ethics, and he words every day. He frequently mentions the One Lake Project. This is a project he says will change North Jackson forever by eliminating flooding in 95% of North Jackson homes. Grahams sits on the Hinds County Levy Board who will oversee the project. The United States Army Corp of Engineers have set aside 220 million dollars for the project.
