New attorneys have been appointed in six customers’ seeking to stop the city of Jackson from shutting of water in the wake of the Siemens case.
On October 8, plaintiffs notified the court that they would be represented by the Cochran Firm, which has offices in Grenada and Los Angeles.
The Cochran Firm was founded by famed attorney Johnny Cochran, who represented O.J. Simpson in the murder case of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.
The news comes weeks after Hinds County Chancery Judge Tiffany Grove disqualified the previous attorneys in the case, citing a conflict of interest.
Six water customers, including five residents and one business, are asking the courts to stop the city from turning off water services for nonpayment in light of complications with the Siemens contract.
