Violence in Jerusalem.
A few days ago, the Muslims took over the Temple Dome and threw rocks down on the Jewish people worshipping at the Wailing Wall, the western wall of the second Jewish temple erected after the Jewish people returned from their captivity in Babylon in 538 BC. The Romans destroyed it in 70 AD. A Muslim mosque now sits in its place, thus the fighting. Israeli troops cleared out the Muslim rock throwers with tear gas, injuring 170. The wall is still open but apparently the orthodox Jews had only morning hours to visit (when we happened to be there..) The violence started when rumors spread in social media that radical Jews were planning an animal sacrifice at the holy site.
