In the summer of 2016 winds of change were in the air for sleepy Flora, Mississippi, a turn of the century town of some 1,800 people. In its day the bustling agricultural village was once a stop on the long defunct Yazoo and Mississippi Valley Railroad where daily shipments of cotton would line the rail platforms adjacent to the train depot.
