Pick up your July issue of the Northside Sun! I spent lots of time on this article and I am so grateful for everyone who helped to make this come together!!! I especially enjoyed having lunch with Pat Ross as she took me down memory lane! Thank you Brent Johnston for providing the old photos and history info! You were a huge help! And thank you to everyone else who helped and agreed to be interviewed! I've written thousands of stories and have taken lots of photos throughout the years and it is still such a thrill to see it all come together in the final product! I am a graduate of JA so Sheffield was a part of life back then! Lots of my friends lived on that street and Halloween was the best! It was so fun to relive those days by writing this article! I may have complained a little about the magnitude of this project (who me!? Haha) but the end product was well worth it!! 🥰 Happy Reading!! ❤️❤️❤️

Happy Retirement, Dorothy!!!!

Dorothy Singleton was one of the very first people I met when I worked at the UMMC Public affairs Division 20 years ago. We became fast friends! Patrice, Dorothy and I would eat lunch every day at the Student Union and discuss & solve all the problems of the world. We would also find excuses to go upstairs to see Dorothy when she moved to the Academic Affairs Dept! I love you so much, Dorothy, and hope you enjoy your retirement! The first photo is of some of our crew back in the day. We had a great team under Barbara Austin!! Such a fun group! Lots of memories and lots of laughs! HAPPY RETIREMENT!!! UMMC will not know what to do without you!!! ❤️🥰😍
