Shenia Diane Bass passed away on January 26, 2026. She was born on February 23, 1952, to Vernon Turnage and Ruby Cameron Turnage.
He was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Ruby Turnage, and three brothers, Benji Turnage, Mickey Turnage, and Roger Turnage.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Gray Bass; son, Christopher Hosey; daughter, Shenia Brown; sister, Jean Babcock; six grandchildren, Ashley Jones, Brittany Prince, Jeffrey Brown, Courtney Bray, Destiny Searles, John Thomas Brown and 12 great-grandchildren.

Gladys Edwina Maresh was born in Nelsonville, Texas to Lydia Stalmach Maresh and Edwin Jerry Maresh, second generation Texas - Czech immigrants. Gladys was a graduate of Bellville High School and attended Texas State College for Women. She married Smithville, Texas native Marcial Davidson Forester in 1950, following his graduation from the University of Texas.

Yazoo City police officers arrested an escaped convict from Louisiana Thursday after receiving a tip from a resident that he was acting suspicious.
Officers Desi Parker and Mylan Smith originally responded an unrelated call about two men dressed in black pacing around the Double Quick store on Jerry Clower Boulevard. They were unable to locate those two men, but while they were patrolling the area a resident gave them a tip about another man.

Earl Davis Gary, age 104, passed peacefully after a remarkable life marked by faith, service, and devotion to family.
He was born on April 12, 1921, in Yazoo County, Mississippi, to Eugene and Gertrude Johnson Gary. He was known throughout his life simply as Davis, and was affectionately called “DD” by his grandchildren.
In 1943, Davis married Lois Lee Myers, and together they shared 77 years of marriage, building a life rooted in love, commitment, and family. They were blessed with one son, Alan Davis “Butch” Gary (Neetsie).
